Description: This is a large commission painting which I created for a lovely couple who were married at the Mahu Whenua Lodge near Wanaka. It was painted using a pallet knife. The work shows the view from the front lawn of the lodge and was the view that the couple looked out upon when they were married. I titled the work "Emblems of the Heart", a phrase taken from James K Baxter's "Poem in the Matukituki". It seemed so appropriate.
